Sunday 17th June was the final day of the Eucharistic Congress. I was celebrant of High Mass, assisted by Fr Nevin and Fr Richardson. Every Saturday we have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 10.30 a.m. to 5.45 p.m., but for the Congress week this was conducted with special solemnity, at the high altar. The final hour was a guided holy hour, with music by the Piccolo Lasso choristers, and the time of adoration ended with Benediction.

Friday of the Congress week was the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord. High Mass was celebrated by Dom Mark Kirby, OSB, prior of the new Benedictine monastery at Stamullen, Co. Meath.
