On Sunday 24th November, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin visited Saint Kevin’s to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Latin Mass Chaplaincy, established by him on 15th September 2007. The Archbishop presided at Solemn Mass celebrated by the chaplain, Fr Deighan, with Fr Richardson as deacon, Fr Nevin as dubdeacon, and Frs O’Connor and Lebocq as assistants at the throne.

The Archbishop preached the sermon, which may be read in full here. In the course of it he said: “I thank you for the manner in which this community has, over the past ten years, built up a liturgical tradition where prayerfulness, dignity and the reflectiveness of its music have led its members more deeply into the mystery of our salvation.”

All in all, it was a very joyful day, and we are most grateful to Archbishop Martin for his support over the past ten years, and for the encouragement which his visit gave us for the future.
