Three young men from our congregation will begin studies for the Priesthood this September: our sacristan, Ciarán Egan (above, right), will enter the Dominican noviciate in Cork; our master of ceremonies, Ciall Humphrey (above, left), will enter the seminary of the Fraternity of Saint Peter in Denton, Nebraska; while Mikkel Pedersen (not in the photo), baptised at our Easter Vigil three years ago, will enter Silverstream Priory in Co. Meath. We wish them every success and blessing, and assure them of our ongoing support.
First Solemn Mass of Father Joseph Hamilton
On Sunday 31st July the Chaplaincy was delighted to welcome Father Joseph Hamilton to celebrate a first Solemn Mass. Father Hamilton, an Irishman and a regular visitor to Saint Kevin’s, was ordained for the Archdiocese of Sydney on the Feast of the Sacred Heart this year. We wish him many, many years of fruitful, joyful ministry in the service of the Lord and of His people.

Corpus Christi Procession 2016
The Lord granted us a beautiful sunny day for the procession this year, which was better attended than ever. The Lassus Scholars and Piccolo Lasso processed with us, filling the streets with magnificent polyphony. It was a privilege to be joined also by members of the Dominican community from St Saviour’s Priory; most of the Corpus Christi hymns were composed by the great Dominican saint and scholar, Thomas Aquinas.
